Grotto Fine Art is pleased to present the solo exhibition  “Where have all the flowers gone”  by Debe Sham. The exhibition will feature three series of works, including Clothespin Doll Series, Lucky Windmill Series and The City and Its Toy Series.The three series of works revolve around the artist's imagination of childhood games, machinery, the city, and the medium of sculpture, presenting a creative style full of childlike delight and wonder.

Clothespin Doll sculptures are table/hanging playful works that drivered the motion with touching. Each work is an invitation to re-imagine the way in which we move through the world and the relationships we build as she asks us to reconsider how to make, and keep, friends in Adulthood and to reconsider what we think we know about ourselves. Through toying with play materials collected from different landscapes of childhoods like the clothespin doll, the work is exploring continuity between youth games and grown-up creativity as a method of visual argument, as well as appropriating and reconstructing play of forms and spatial relationships, including sculpture as a thing and a relic from the city’s toy manufacturing past.

Lucky Windmill Series are hanging sculptures that she takes windmill wheels as forms for creation.Through toying with play materials collected from different landscapes of childhoods, the work explores continuity between youth games and grown-up creativity as a method of visual argument and the coexistence between the self, humans, and parts of machine, as well as appropriating and re- constructing play of forms and spatial relationships.

City and Its Toy Series displays many aspects of the city, such as rapid change, convenience, alienation,crowdedness, loneliness, consumer economy, and a sense of loss for various groups in society. Through the "visible cities" displayed via art, viewers will be able to sense the "invisible city" in their own lives.


嘉圖現代藝術欣然呈獻岑愷怡個展《那時花開見月明》,展出包括三個系列的作品,分別是衣夾公仔系列,幸運風車系列和城市玩具系列。三個系列的作品圍繞藝術家對於孩童遊戲,機械,城市以及對於雕塑這個媒介的想像,呈現充滿童趣的個人風格。

衣夾公仔系列為童玩雕塑,利用這人形符號勾勒出畫面的敘事性跟趣味性,邀請我們重新想像穿越世界的方式以及人與人建立的關係,重新思考如何在成年後結交和保持朋友,並重新考慮關於每個個體對於自身的了解。作品蒐集不同時期、地域的遊戲和玩具(衣夾娃娃為材,配合金 工技術和機械部件進行渲染,探索孩童遊戲與成人創造力之間的連繫和可能性,並以雕塑為物, 挪用和重建出遊戲的形式和空間的關係。

幸運風車系列與衣夾公仔系列一樣嘗試探索遊戲的形式和空間的關係,同樣以遊戲和玩具為素材,以風車滾輪作為創作形態、收集、拆解、研究構造、 改造、組裝、實驗,並且加入自己的記憶與奇想,讓它們訴說著自己的情感和回憶。

城市玩具系列則嘗試連結藝術與日常生活、作者與觀者、作品與空間的方式, 為現代城市的一面鏡子,為觀者映照出都會生活中種種迅速、便捷、疏離、擁擠、孤寂,以及充 斥著商品經濟與集體失落感的奇異體驗,藉由接觸藝術中「可見的城市」同時,感受生命中的「不 可見城市」。
